Ash Stymest Jewelry Modern Slavery Statement 2024
This Statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (‘the MSA’). It sets out the steps Ash Stymest Jewelry (‘the Company’), an entity incorporated in the US, has taken at its inception to prevent slavery and human trafficking from taking place in its supply chains or in any part of its business.
1. Introduction
The Company is committed to improving its practices to combat slavery and human trafficking and to ensure that its business and supply chains are free from the same.
2. About The Company
Ash Stymest Jewelry is a brand selling jewellery (‘the Products’). Since 2024, Ash Stymest Jewelry has embodied a tradition of quality and excellence. This commitment to excellence extends to the creations, savoir-faire and quality of service, as well as in the way we conduct our activities – ethically, socially, and environmentally.
The Company markets, distributes and sells the Products through its website sending products to all the major territories in the world. The Company also provides after-sales care for the Products and offers a repair service.
2.1. Organisational structure
The company is privately owned by individuals.
2.2. Locations and employees
The Company has a corporate office in Florida and an operational office in London. At the time of this statement there are between 3-10 employees including fixed term employees and interns.
2.3. Management structure
The Company is managed by a board of Directors within the business.
3. Governance
The Company’s owners and Directors are responsible for compliance with the MSA. The Company is in the process of setting up and fully documenting Compliance procedures and Sustainability commitments and is committed to creating a platform to embedded sustainability at the highest governance level of the company.
4. Policies and Standards
The Company is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all its operations. We respect the human rights of all people across the business and value chain, including employees, customers, partners and suppliers. We commit to respecting human rights and not engaging in or tolerating bribery, corruption, money laundering or the financing of terrorism, supporting transparency of government payments and rights-compatible security forces in the extractives industry, not providing direct or indirect support to illegally armed groups, and, enabling stakeholders to voice concerns about the supply chain, including any concern regarding minerals and metals originating from conflict and high-risk areas, child labour or any type of actual or potential human rights violation and abuse happening within its supply chain. In doing so, we work to identify and reduce the risks of modern slavery.
5. Supply Chain
As in many businesses, supply chains can be susceptible to human rights impacts such as modern slavery. We adopt a proactive and diligent approach in order to address these. For non-stock products and services the Company’s supplies must adhere to our commitment to not engage in any form of modern slavery. We continue to build our management systems to enable the identification and mitigation of potential ESG impacts and risks along its supply chains, including modern slavery.
6. Risk Assessments and Human Rights Due Diligence
The Company has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, and it is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all its business dealings. It will continuously assess the effectiveness of its actions to contribute to the prevention of modern slavery and promotion of human rights.
7. The Future
We will use our best efforts to advance our human rights practices. In light of a continuous improvement approach, the Company will keep on refining and strengthening its human rights management system with a specific focus on modern slavery.
